I am Happy with the DeWalt XR 18V Impact Driver Kit, although the DeWalt Driver didn't come in it's own packaging, but was loose in a plain cardboard box with a charger and battery. The user manual at some point had been damp or wet, but dried out!
I purchased the kit online from Top Tools (NSW).
At checkout I selected the 'Express Post' option as the shipping option.
Express Post does cost more, but usually gets the delivery to you in 1-2 work days.
I live in Melbourne Metro area, so usually a next day delivery from most businesses Australia wide, maybe 2 days from W.A.
I purchased the DeWalt kit on a Tuesday, expecting delivery before the weekend
(I had an engine pull down to do on the weekend for a customer and my current impact driver had just died). That's why I paid extra for Express Post.
Top Tools do state that processing can take up to 2 business days.
They processed my order 4 days after I placed my order, on Friday!!
Top Tools, why offer an Express Post option, when your processing fails the whole point of Express Post!?
Saturday Australia Post stated they had just received the package and that it was on its way. I received the package on Wednesday.
1 week and 1 day for Express Post!!
Message to TopTools,
I paid extra for Fast Postage and didn't get the service, I got Slow Post, no original packaging and a damp or wet dried out user manual.
I am happy with the DeWalt kit, but I am not happy with Top Tools customer service!
The price is right, it's actually what attracted me in the first place. Service and follow up is second to none. Highly recommended. Wouldn't hesitate to make more purchases in the future. One of my go-to tool hub. 👍
Exactly what I needed. Very convenient size, swallowed most of my accessories leaving room for more. Good, heavy-duty bag to withstand the abuse and rigours of jobsites.
