Warranty & Refund Policy
At Top Tools Australia, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines the process for returns, refunds, and warranty claims.
Our policies are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Part A: Returns for Change of Mind
We understand that sometimes you may change your mind about a purchase.
14-Day Period: You have 14 days from the date you receive your item to request a return for a change of mind.
Eligibility: To be eligible, the item must be in its original, saleable condition:
- Unused and unopened.
- In its original packaging, as received.
- Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase.
Exclusions: Please note that our change-of-mind policy does not apply to sale/clearance items or gift cards. This does not affect your rights for faulty items (see Part B).
Return Shipping: For change-of-mind returns, you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Part B: Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items (Your Consumer Rights)
If you receive an item that is defective, has been damaged in transit, or is not what you ordered, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Process: Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you notice an issue, contact us straight away at sales@imaxtools.com.au. with your order number and a description of the problem (photos are helpful). We will assess the issue and provide a solution, which may include a replacement, repair, or refund.
Return Shipping: If an item is confirmed to be faulty, Top Tools Australia will cover the cost of the return shipping.
Part C: Manufacturer's Warranty
In addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we offer a warranty against defects.
1-Year Warranty: Top Tools Australia provides a 1-year warranty on all products, effective from the date of purchase.
Coverage: This warranty covers product faults or failures in performance under normal use.
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Accidents, misuse, or neglect.
- Operating the product in a manner contrary to the instructions.
- Natural disasters, acts of God, or other external causes.
How to Start a Return or Warranty Claim
Step 1: Contact Us First. To initiate any return or warranty claim, please email us at sales@imaxtools.com.au. Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if the item is damaged or faulty. Please do not send items back to us without first receiving authorisation.
Step 2: We'll Guide You. If your return is accepted or your claim is approved, we will provide you with a return shipping label (for faulty items) and clear instructions on how and where to send your package.
Step 3: Inspection and Refund Processing. Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome. If a refund is approved, you will be automatically refunded via your original payment method within 5 business days. Please be aware that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund. If you haven't received your refund within 10 business days of our approval, please contact us at sales@imaxtools.com.au.
Exchanges. For the fastest service, we recommend returning the original item for a refund and placing a new, separate order for the correct item you wish to purchase.
